You can manage following options from Content settings for all sites. If you want make any of these changes for a specific site. Go to the site you want and click the page icon or the lock icon on the address bar (omnibox). You can customize these settings for that specific website.
How to get to the Content settings
- Click the Chrome Menu (customize and control Google Chrome) on the browser toolbar.
- Select Settings on the Chrome Menu.
- Click on the Show advanced settings.
- In the “Privacy” section below, click Content settings button.
You can make the following settings in the Content Settings button.
Cookies
Cookies are files created by websites to store browsing information, such as your site preferences or profile information. Cookies are allowed by default. Cookies can allow sites to track your navigation during your visit.
Images
Images are allowed by default. You can stop images from displaying, select “Do not show any images.”
JavaScript
JavaScript makes sites more interactive. JavaScript are also allowed by default because If you choose to disable JavaScript, you may find that some sites don’t work properly.
Handlers
Handlers are used to allow Google Chrome to set a default web service to open a certain link.
Plug-ins
Plug-ins are allowed by default, it is used by websites to enable certain types of web content that browsers can not essentially process.
Pop-ups
Pop-ups are blocked by default because they can make a mess of your desktop screen if they are appearing automatically.
Location
Google Chrome alerts you by default when a site you are visiting wants to use your location information.
Notifications
Google Chrome alerts you when websites will attempt to show notifications on your computer desktop. Notifications are allowed by default to stop a site getting permission automatically to show notifications.
Fullscreen
When you want to open websites in fullscreen mode, you can choose how you want Google Chrome Browser handles this request.
Mouse cursor
When some websites or web applications request to disable your mouse cursor, like games. You can choose how Google Chrome Browser handles this type of request.
Protected Content
Some Content services use machine identifiers to uniquely identify you of the purposes of authorizing access to protected content. You can enable or disable this option.
Media
When websites with media functionality request access to your microphone and camera.
Unsandboxed plug-in access
Google Chrome’s sandbox feature protects you by limiting what websites can access on your computer. Select which ever option is best for you.
Protected content (Chrome OS only)
You can allow sites to use machine identifiers to uniquely identify your computer in order to authorize access to protected content that you have bought online like movies or music.
Automatic Downloads
You can select Automatic download options.
Zoom Levels
